We are fielding U18 midget half season boys and girls teams for the 2021 pre-high school season. If you have signed up your players with the NCMYH Midgets evaluations for the 2021 half season thank you. If you would like to sign up your son or daughter there are separate registrations for Boys U18 midgets and Girls U18 midgets on the NCMHY website. We will continue to use the $50 evaluation fee as the registration fee at this time until we confirm how teams will be formed. If we do not have evaluation sessions the $50 fee will be moved toward Tuition balance.
We expect to have at least two midget boys teams and at least one Girls team. We will cap teams at 15 skaters and 2 goalies each. The boys will again play in the Valley League and the Girls will Play in the Middlesex Yankee Conference League. There will be at least 12 games but we could add one or two more. There will be minimally 12 practices, 8 shared ice and 4 full-ice practices. Most practices will be on the same night and time at the Gardner rink for the boys and at the Winchendon Rink for the Girls. The Cushing Rink will likely be used until Gardner and Winchendon open. We plan to add two skills session toward November to help the kids get ready for high school try-outs. The cost will be $725 for the boys and $700 for the Girls.
We expect to have the core teams set by June and will ask for a $150 commitment fee at that time. After your player commits the remaining balance will bill split to two monthly payments due in July and August prior to the season start. Registration is on a first come first serve basis and will remain open until teams have reached capacity. At that time new registrations will go onto the wait list and we will consider creating a new team if numbers allow. Please let us know if your player is a goalie of if you would like to coach to help us with team structure and possible new teams.
Please feel free to share feed back on team formation or other issues,
